In the spirit of the upcoming holiday, it's graveyards from here to Halloween.

Curious duck

Curious duck is curious. Maybe also a little annoyed. But very pretty -- I mean handsome, handsome!

Time

Stairs going up, but wearing down.

(okay, I can't help it .. have to mention that these are the stairs inside the Leaning Tower of Pisa - worn on the outside, because that is the direction of the 'lean' here!)

From my window

Black bird sitting on nearby boat, at the break of morn' (well, it wasn't quite dawn).

Lurking

Monkey: "Fuck. I thought I had you beat."
Gator: "No, I'm just here waiting."
Monkey: "Guess it's best out of three then."

Tie Fighter!

I love this mosaic. This tie-fighter is just a small part but there are many other surprises as well. Interpret your favorite monster in the inlay at the Wallingford Steps.

Sunset

The days are getting shorter. I'm not sure if that's what I dislike most about winter, or if it's the wet and coldness. Still, I don't feel any urge to live in Tucson, so it can't be that bad.

Haiku Thursday

Sun in sky through leaves
Yellow surrounding the world
Fall has come to me.

Wet red leaves

I like the red leaves, even when they are surrounded by wet and gray skies.

Colored cotton-candy forests

Fall

Nowhere special, but the proper kind of "fall"
Sunny sky, leaves bright with color
Football Saturday
Maybe a hint of woodsmoke on the air.

The Scotch comes from here

Have fun storming the castle!

Watching the beach

The smoke curled slowly from his cigarette as his eyes passed slowly across the beach. The cliffs above provided the edges of the battleground - the monsters would come from the ocean. For now though, his job was just to wait and watch. To evacuate the tourists who swim happily in ignorance, if the beasts came. And to maintain the illusion.
