Moss

Moved to a new apartment yesterday .. had a lot of dust on the stuff from storage. Not as much as this much moss luckily. Doesn't that look soft though?

Pretty Lake

Green Lake, blue sky. This is at the rowing center in Green Lake, maybe I'll join a crew team or class.

I believe I may be getting back into the swing of things.

Busy Bee

I'm a very busy bee lately - or trying to be efficient and productive, anyway.

Mossy Trees

The forests of the PNW have a lot of moss, a lot of trees, and are generally a bit wet - which means lots of green! When the sun shines in too, it's really beautiful.

Many red ways

It may be mass confusion, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Wine Time

Won't you come and wine with me? We can whine about the return of cold weather, gray skies, and rain to Seattle.

On the other hand, I suppose the rain is good for the plants (it's been the driest summer in Seattle in something like 60 years, I hear!) and at least now people aren't whining about the heat.

This is at "The Local Vine", a winebar in Belltown that I think is really nice. They are always happy to let you try a wine before ordering a glass (or bottle), sell retail bottles at reasonable prices, and have truffled popcorn. The food's a bit expensive, but hey, that's what happy hour is for (or eat elsewhere). The ceiling is shaped like a wine glass and to your eyes, it'll be a bit darker than it looks here.

The Globe Spins Peacefully

Some Seattle landmarks in this view from another Seattle landmark (the Space Needle) : the Seattle PI globe spinning in the corner, the mountains visible in the distance, the water flowing through the Sound. I guess that's one thing I like about going up the Space Needle.

Wallingford View

Downtown in the sunset, boats and boatworks nearby, lake union peeking through. This isn't the best shot, but it seems like a very typical wallingford view to me and I like that view.

Toot toot!

Or more likely, "blaaar" "blaar".
Old fishing vessels, nice big steel.
Not dainty or elegant but strong, comfortable, and big.

Away

Last week was hot in Seattle, but this week I'm working in Tucson for a few days. Much hotter.

Also, I'm working with some really lovely people here, but ...
