While this van is uninhabited, there are other vehicles on this street that are sheltering at least a half dozen decent people. Perhaps that's what adds the touch of drama to this in my mind.
All the ones I've actually seen or talked to seem okay and usually say something nice to Jackson. There is one crazy guy (totally off his meds) who hangs out in the park sometimes, but I don't think he's got a vehicle.
