Tasha

Hi little dog, no need to be scared of the camera.

No really, it's ok.

See?

Yep, that's her tail wagging so fast it's mostly a blur. Sometimes she does that when she's nervous.

Ok, so I wouldn't stress my dog out too much, but sometimes learning that 'scary' things aren't so bad is a good thing, if done gently. That said, it's interesting to point out that this series is actually a pretty classic example of a slightly anxious dog. I had the camera in one hand, away from my face, so you can see her looking at me rather than the camera (which is the slightly scary thing) and turning her head away from the camera itself a bit - this is most visible in the second photo. She is also licking her lips a bit in that photo, another anxiety behavior. The tail wagging and ears down are a bit of anxiety and submission rolled into one, I think. By the last pic however, you can see that the ears have popped up (there were two up, but I missed it) and she's starting to relax.
